My Dream House In Five Years, Hopefully!

Right now, I am taking a very close look at the Bumblebee Manor, so I can draft a floorplan from it for my dream house. And yes, I truly do know how to draw blue-prints of any kind. My house will not be that big, but it will look almost exactly the same on the inside. Don't you love it?  I do!

9/11/01 REMEMBERED!

 IT IS SEPTEMBER 11th!

Dear Friends,
Today is a very sad day indeed!  It is the seventh anniversary of 9/11.  That awful day had reminded us all of how very evil man can become.  My heart and sympathy goes out to all of the families and friends whose love ones died when the Twin Towers fell on that dark day.  May we never forget this day.
However, after all that has happened with terrorism, many and certain Americans have learnt nothing from that tragic day, September 11, 2001.  They are still very racist, close-minded, ignorant, and believe that only their kind are the best in the world.  It is this type of attitude and behavior that has other countries hating the USA.
This election year is clearly proving that 9/11 had not change many Americans and the way they think at all.  They are still judging people by appearance, and does not even care to find out about what is on the inside. (Stupid but true!).
If you have not learned to live peacefully with other persons from all types of backgrounds since 9/11, then I pity you.

God Bless!

Today:    Happy Birthday, Mom.  May you live to see many more and stay in good health.  Enjoy the rest of your day!

Today is my biological mother's birthday and she is doing well, in good spirits. Thank God!

April 30:    I just called my home in Barbados and spoke to my other mother (she is my aunt, who raised me from a baby.  I always called her Mommy).  We spoke for almost an hour and she was doing well, despite the tragedy in the family.  May you live to see many more birthdays.  Stay cool and in good health!

Almost a month ago was my other mother's (aunt) birthday and she was in good spirits. Thank God!

A DEATH IN MY FAMILY!

  • Mood: I am in tears, feeling very blue, and bawlingtoo .
  • I am wearing: All black.

    Hello Everyone,

My mother just returned to NY from Barbados, after attending the funeral of a family member.  A sudden tragedy had struck my family.  My aunt Gloria(my mother's sister) died suddenly on April 19, 2008 and was buried  on May 3, 2008. When we had heard the very sad news, it was unbelievable and we are still in shock about it.  I do not know when the family will recover from this, but we must move on with our lives.

Auntie Gloria was not the head of the family, but she was an organizer, a helper to many people, from a family member to a stranger, to a friend.  Unfortunately, she was also the type of person who helped everyone else, except herself.  My family would beg my aunt constantly to take care of herself and to relax, but she just kept on going like an energizer bunny.  This was her sorrowful downfall.

Auntie Gloria was such a popular member of her church in St. Thomas, where she lived, that the church's pastor could not even carried on the funeral service without breaking down into loud tears at the lost of his dear friend.

Auntie Gloria had just visited her only daughter in America for three weeks.  Her other child lives in Barbados. The week after returning to Barbados from her USA trip, she died.  It is so sad, but true.

Gloria, your family, friends and associates will miss you very much.  May you rest in peace.  Heaven has another angel, Amen.

God Bless,
Jonella

HAPPY EASTER!

  • I am wearing: All Black.
  • Weather: It is Sunny but very Windy
  • Greetings: Enjoy your weekend!

A Holiday Greeting!

To Everyone!

Hello Everybody,

I want to wish everyone a very safe and happy Easter Weekend!  Today is Good Friday and a very blessed day indeed.  I just got back from the doctor and my annual check-up.  My stress levels and my cholesterol are down.  I just need to continue eating the way I am doing now, which is keeping away from certain foods with too much sodium in them and I'll be okay.  I know that my weekend is going to be very busy because my aunt and cousin will be arriving in New York, today.  They are visiting from Cananda with friends and will be going back on Easter Sunday afternoon.  Every chance my family can have to visit New York is a blessing and it is going to be great seeing them again, especially my cousin.  I have not seen her in so long.  May you enjoy every moment of this weekend with your love ones.  Whether, you are going to church, the Easter Parade, an Easter dinner or Easter egg hunt with friends.  Thank the God above for allowing you to see another Easter and enjoy your Easter Egg Chocolates, I know I will.

Happy Easter,
Jonella

MISSING MY GYN APPOINTMENT!

Hi Friends,
Here I was all of this time, thinking that my GYN appointment is tomorrow. When it was actually this morning at 10:30.  Oh Gosh!  This is the first time, I have ever missed a GYN appointment.  May be old age is slowly catching up to me? LOL.
I had called my GYN, and made a new appointment. Lucky for me, I actually got a new appointment for next month.  Can you believe that?  I am so happy and I will not be missing this one, LOL.

HELLO! IS MARCH HERE ALREADY?

  • Mood: I am not feeling well but I am still happy.
  • I am wearing: a black turtleneck and black pants.
  • Weather: It is Sunny and 53 degrees and wonderful!
  • Greetings:

Hello Friends!

Well, I just thought that I should drop in and say hi to everyone.  Although, it is that time of the month, where I am in so much pain and is always exhausted.  I am doing OK .  At this moment, I should be resting in my bed but here I am writing a new post to you.

Right now, I am in the middle of researching small book stores/cafes, who may not have any knowledge about my upcoming book and I will be promoting it to them.  In the meantime, I am also typing Part. 2 of the She Saved His Panthorian Soul© Series into the computer.  Somehow, I still get the feeling that many people did not understand me, when I said that I am typing and editing my novels into the computer, so let me explain again.  I have many FINISHED, WRITTEN MANUSCRIPTS inside my bedroom.  All I am doing is typing(copying) every single story into the computer.  I am making each manuscript into a Rick Text File, so they can easily be uploaded to my publisher.  Yes, it is and will be a lot of hard work but I am going to get it done and with God's help, indeed.

No, I will not be hiring anyone to help me type all of these books because I am a very private person and likes to do my stuff alone.  Some people think that I should type my ideas directly into the computer.  Instead of jotting them down on paper(wasting time) but I am a bit old fashion.  I like to write things down first, before I type.  Besides, the computer is in the Living Room and my ideas usually comes to me, when I am in bed resting, so I keep a pen and paper nearby.  I am always writing down ideas  as I have been doing for many years, before they are developed into a very exotic, romance novel.  Someone once said to me - "Oh sure, you wrote all of these books but are any of them, good?"  Well, are my novels any good?  I think so but you will let me know, won't you?  I want at least two or three characters out of every book to leave a lasting impression on your mind, where you will be talking about them for days.  I want to hear your views about my book(s) and the way they make you feel.  When She Saved His Panthorian Soul© finally comes out.  I will be looking forward to reading your reveiws about it with much interest. Thanks!

I watch a segment on TV about the GPS Systems, where some of these machines are leading persons to drive their cars onto back roads and dead ends.  Yet, people must realize that any product made by mankind will always have its faults.  Do not put your entire trust into GPS Systems because you have a brain, use it.  Let your instincts along with asking for directions and the GPS System help guide you safely to where your destination lies.   Stay cool and safe, people!

AN ANGRY APPROACH!

  • Mood:
  • Weather: It is raining

APPROACHED BY A MONDAY ASS!

Hi Friends,
I have had a very angry evening.  Someone in my neighborhood saw this blog and they actually approached me today to ask a question.  How does he know that I am truly Jonella Beauty?  Only the God above knows and I quote:

The Stranger:   "Hello, you are Jonella Beauty, right?"

Myself:     "Yes, I am.  How do you this?"

The Stranger:  "Research.  May I ask you a question?"

Myself:      "Certainly."

The Stranger:   "How can you claim that you had written 37 books.   Despite, the fact that you black people cannot read or write too well?  You......"

Myself:    "EXCUSE ME!"

The Stranger:   "I just want you to answer the question." - End Quote.

Taken by surprise, do you know that I just turned around and walked away from that rascist, white bastard.  I took a deep breath and thought of how people comes up to you for no good reason.  Who the fuck does he thinks he is talking to?  I have every one of my manuscripts inside differently colored folders and they are stacked up one on top of each other in my bedroom.  My family and my few friends know that I wrote all of my books over the years.  I was not even in this country when I began writting novels, so no asshole is going to come up to me and insult me like that again.  Trust me, if I had trully answered him.  He would have probably called the police for me by now.  I have learned to ignore many idiots like the one I met today.  And all of you know very well that if I was a white woman.  That stranger would have complimented me on my work instead.

My friends, I have been told worst things by Caucasians and it has made me stronger.  Yet, today I was boiling over.  To be honest, the only reason that I did not commit a crime is because I know it is illegal.  That rascist, white bastard came up to me and said some things that I refuse to repeat on my blog.  He was so very nasty, ignorant and jealous that I will not tarnish my blog with his stupid words.  I am finally calming down now, but I will never forget today.

I hope that he sees this blog and gets the message.  One thing I do know for sure is that I will be ready for the next person, who wish to insult the author in me.  I worked too long and fucking hard on all of those books over the years, so I dare any bastard or bitch to approach me again.  Accusing me of being a dumb, black bitch.  May you all have a good night!

Take Care!
Jonella

The Jane Austen Collection on PBS!

  • Mood: I am happy, tired and I am going to bed.
  • I am wearing: my PJs.

LOVING THESE PBS MASTERPIECES!

Hi Friends,
I have just finish watching part. 2 of Pride and Prejudice on PBS, Channel 13.  It was wonderful as expected like the previous Masterpiece Specials of Jane Austen's best-selling novels, which currently airs on Sundays at 9:00 p.m.  So far, I have watched:

1)   Persuasion on January 13th.

2)   Northanger Abbey on January 20th.

3)   Mansfield Park on Jaunary 27th.

4)   Miss. Austen Regrets on Febraury 3rd (so sad).

5)   Part. 1 of Pride and Prejudice January 10th.

6)   Part. 2 of Pride and Prejudice on Febuary 17th (today).

7)   The Conclusion of Pride and Prejudice on Febuary 24th.

8   Emma (Coming Soon!) March 23rd.

9)   Sense and Sensibility (Coming Soon!) Mar 30th - Apr 6th.

I must say that Jane Austen has written these wonderful, romance novels out of deep desire for what she had lost.  The desire of a man's love.  All of these stories are happy ending, historical classics, which I love immensely.  It was so unfortunate that she only lived to forty-one years old and never got the second chance to love again.  All writters should be aspired by her work.  She wrote from her heart like I do today.  Now, who says that you must have a man's love to know what it is all about.  Have a good night everyone.

BOOK EDITING ON HOLD!

  • Mood: I am gasping and in shock.
  • I am wearing: dark jeans with a grey and yellow turtleneck.
  • Weather: It is raining heavily.
  • Greetings:

BOOK TROUBLE AGAIN!

Hi Friends,
I was just informed that my editor had a medical emergency, so the last part of editing my book has been put back a little longer.  For how long?  I do not know but I am sure that my publishing team will update me soon about this situation, when they can.  I do have a great publishing company afterall.  However, a small part of me is angry because many people are waiting anxiously to read my 1st book and keeping them in suspense a bit longer may cause them to loose interest in buying it.  On the other hand, the rest of me is compassionate and understanding.  I was taught to always expect the unexpected in life.  Whether we like it or not, sad things do and will happen to us from time to time.  So, what is one more week or two, before getting my book back.  I will wait patiently, praying and hoping that my editor will have a speedy and safe recovery..... Do not worry!  My book will be in stores soon.

It is really true, what some people say - "The first one is always the hardest to put out there."  Stay cool, guys and be safe!

Take Care!

A PRE-VALENTINE'S DAY HELLO!

  • Mood: I am feeling energized and happy.
  • I am wearing: dark blue jeans, a grey turtleneck and sweater.
  • Weather: It is cold and snowing.
  • Greetings: Howdy

Happy

Valentines

Day!

"To Singles & Couples Alike"

Hi Friend,
There is a Snow Storm Watch in NYC and in surrounding areas at this moment.  It has been snowing for the past, few hours and where I live has accumulated up to 2" on the ground outside so far.  It is very cold, slippery and slushy as well.  Snow is beautiful thing to look at but I hate it otherwise.  Thank God, I am not going anywhere out tonight or I would have had to cancel my trip.

So, another Valentines Day is almost here again and it does not mean that single persons like myself should feel bad about this day.  Just think of it as not having to worry about what you should get for your love one or what to prepare for Valentines dinner, etc.  You might say that I am strange but Valentines Day has never really bother me.  Afterall, I was and still am a very low key, no fuss individual. Yet, I am so tired and turned off by my past relationships with men that I just don't care about that sort of thing anymore.  Relationships just do not last like the ones of yesteryear and too many things out there cause men to cheat a lot.

Now, I actually pours the love and romantic dreams into my novels.  Some people thinks that is pathetic but I think it is living peacefully and loving what I do, writing.  When any author writes from the heart, his or her book usually comes out so much better.  As for me, yes, I am without someone BUT no, I am not lonely.  There is a big difference with those two meanings, which people finds very hard to understand.  A woman can indeed be very happy without a man. If she is unhappy being alone, then, she should go out there and try to find a decent man, if they are any left.

As for the couples out there, please enjoy this Valentines Day.  For the singles, if this day is a hurtful memory to you or if you are hurting at this time from a breakup, etc.  Buy yourself a rose and why not?  Pray for someone special to come your way in the future.  And just hope that this Valentines Day passes by quickly.

Most of all, love yourself first and foremost, before you look to love someone else.  Stay cool, guys and be safe!

Take Care!

I LATINO SOAP OPERAS!

  • Mood:
  • I am wearing: a black turtleneck with a black and white stripe pants.
  • Weather: It is extremely windy today!
  • Greetings:

A Heartful Tribute
To The Latino Soap Operas On Telemundo 47

Hello Everyone,

I am certain that many of you, who are not hispanic does not watch the wonderful soaps operas on Channel 47 - Telemundo.  You should!  These romantic, spanish soap operas showing on mornings and at nights are so amazing!  I have been watching them for years now on Telemundo.  Back when they used CC1 for the English Close Caption.  Now, they are using CC1 for the Spanish Close Caption and CC3 for the English Close Caption(where available).  I strongly regret that Channel 47 - Telemundo has made that decision with the Close Caption because I do not understand spanish that well, and still have to guess what some of the scenes are all about.  I will have to look for and buy a new TV, which has CC3 in its Close Caption, so I can see the English dialogue.

Here are some of my favorite Latino Soap Operas of today:

  •       1:      Pasión De Gavilanes is about three brothers, who seeks revenge for their dead sister.  She died on a ranch owned by a rich family.  On this ranch lives a strong headed, serious woman and her three, beautiful daughters.  The brothers took jobs on this ranch to find out the truth about their sister's death.  Eventually, each brother falls inlove with a sister and their enemies seeks revenge all the way to the end of the picture.

  •
  •       2:      Anita no a Rajes is about a poor, common class, innocent girl who learnt that money talks in all types of ways.  She eventually learns that the aunt she is looking for is really her mother and her father is still alive in Mexico.  Anita learns many valuable lessons and almost dies because of evil.  She soon comes back to Florida with a vengeful plan to destroy all of those who betrayed her, especially the man that she loves, who had given her up to Immigration to save her life.

  •
  •       3:      Prisonera is about a woman called Guadalopé, who is sent to prison at a very young age for a crime she didn't commit.  While Guadalopé was in prison, her older sister named Milagros raised her daughter, Libertad.  All hell broke loose when Guadalopé escaped from prison with her best friend and comes looking for her rich, big sister.

  •
  •       4:      Gitanas is about Gypsies and a fishing village.

  •
  •       5:      La Muyer En El Espejo is about a shy, plain Jane, who is tranformed into a breathtaking beauty by a magic mirror and a fight to control a fashion/cosmetic company.

  •
  •       6:      La Traición I know it is about identical, twin brothers(played by Mario) and a beautiful, young woman(played by Dana) who is caught between the two of them.  Unfortunately, this young woman's mother seems to be a bitch!  One twin has Epilepsy and the other has a dark side.  However, I am still trying to figure out the story but I will inform you about it later.  When I've understand what is truly going on in this soap opera.  (SO FAR!)  Yet, my favorite, Latino Sexy actor(Mario Cimmaro) and my favorite actress(Dana Garcia) are in the starring roles of this new Soap Opera, which began last night.  I loved them in Pasión De Gavilanes and I am sure to enjoy their performance in La Traición.

    HAPPY NEW YEAR!

    • Mood: I am in a peaceful state.
    • I am wearing: a black turtleneck and sweat pants.
    • Greetings: Hello!

    A Holiday Greeting!

    To Everyone!

    Hello Everyone,

A few hours ago, I sat in my bed and had a wonderful dinner as I watched the ball dropped in Times Square, NY, marking another new year.  I ate two, large, spicy seasoned pork chops sprinkled with hot sauce, two slices of dark wheat bread and mixed vegetables.  I drank a large bottle of Martinelli's Apple/Grape Cider with my meal and had a large Oh Henry! chocolate bar for dessert.YUMMY!  Yes, for a little lady like myself.  I can surely eat and this New Years' Dinner was absolutely delicious!

I want to wish all of you, especially my blogger friends a very happy New Year!  May your new year begin safely and continues to be great throughout the entire year.  For the year of 2008 will be a easy going for some people and it will be very difficult for others.  Life in general is hard that way but we must keep on trying to put our best foot forward.  May all of you enjoy every moment of this year with your love ones because no one knows, which day will be your last.  (Depressing but true)  Pray to the God above and ask him to guide you into the right direction and to help you make good decisions everyday.  Amen

Is tomorrow a recycle of today?  Some people seems to think so.  In my opinion, there will always be the time from 12:00 am to 12:00 pm to 12:00 am again.  The only difference is that you will never see another day like the one before because every single day is different.  Just take some deep breaths and one day at a time, I know I will.  Be safe, guys!

    Happy New Year,
    Jonella
