| A Holiday Greeting! To Everyone!
Hello Everybody, I want to wish everyone a very safe and happy Easter Weekend! Today is Good Friday and a very blessed day indeed. I just got back from the doctor and my annual check-up. My stress levels and my cholesterol are down. I just need to continue eating the way I am doing now, which is keeping away from certain foods with too much sodium in them and I'll be okay. I know that my weekend is going to be very busy because my aunt and cousin will be arriving in New York, today. They are visiting from Cananda

| APPROACHED BY A MONDAY ASS! Hi Friends, The Stranger: "Hello, you are Jonella Beauty, right?" Myself: "Yes, I am. How do you this?" The Stranger: "Research. May I ask you a question?" Myself: "Certainly." The Stranger: "How can you claim that you had written 37 books. Despite, the fact that you black people cannot read or write too well? You......" Myself: "EXCUSE ME!" The Stranger: "I just want you to answer the question." - End Quote. Taken by surprise, do you know that I just turned around and walked away from that rascist, white bastard. I took a deep breath and thought of how people comes up to you for no good reason. Who the fuck does he thinks he is talking to? I have every one of my manuscripts inside differently colored folders and they are stacked up one on top of each other in my bedroom. My family and my few friends know that I wrote all of my books over the years. I was not even in this country when I began writting novels, so no asshole is going to come up to me and insult me like that again. Trust me, if I had trully answered him. He would have probably called the police for me by now. I have learned to ignore many idiots like the one I met today. And all of you know very well that if I was a white woman. That stranger would have complimented me on my work instead. Take Care! |

| LOVING THESE PBS MASTERPIECES! Hi Friends, 1) Persuasion on January 13th. 2) Northanger Abbey on January 20th. 3) Mansfield Park on Jaunary 27th. 4) Miss. Austen Regrets on Febraury 3rd (so sad). 5) Part. 1 of Pride and Prejudice January 10th. 6) Part. 2 of Pride and Prejudice on Febuary 17th (today). 7) The Conclusion of Pride and Prejudice on Febuary 24th. 8 Emma (Coming Soon!) March 23rd. 9) Sense and Sensibility (Coming Soon!) Mar 30th - Apr 6th. I must say that Jane Austen has written these wonderful, romance novels out of deep desire for what she had lost. The desire of a man's love. All of these stories are happy ending, historical classics, which I love immensely. It was so unfortunate that she only lived to forty-one years old and never got the second chance to love again. All writters should be aspired by her work. She wrote from her heart like I do today. Now, who says that you must have a man's love to know what it is all about. Have a good night everyone. Take Care! |

Happy Valentines Day! ![]() "To Singles & Couples Alike" Hi Friend, So, another Valentines Day is almost here again and it does not mean that single persons like myself should feel bad about this day. Just think of it as not having to worry about what you should get for your love one or what to prepare for Valentines dinner, etc. You might say that I am strange but Valentines Day has never really bother me. Afterall, I was and still am a very low key, no fuss individual. Yet, I am so tired and turned off by my past relationships with men that I just don't care about that sort of thing anymore. Relationships just do not last like the ones of yesteryear and too many things out there cause men to cheat a lot. Now, I actually pours the love and romantic dreams into my novels. Some people thinks that is pathetic but I think it is living peacefully and loving what I do, writing. When any author writes from the heart, his or her book usually comes out so much better. As for me, yes, I am without someone BUT no, I am not lonely. There is a big difference with those two meanings, which people finds very hard to understand. A woman can indeed be very happy without a man. If she is unhappy being alone, then, she should go out there and try to find a decent man, if they are any left. As for the couples out there, please enjoy this Valentines Day. For the singles, if this day is a hurtful memory to you or if you are hurting at this time from a breakup, etc. Buy yourself a rose and why not? Pray for someone special to come your way in the future. And just hope that this Valentines Day passes by quickly. Most of all, love yourself first and foremost, before you look to love someone else. Stay cool, guys and be safe! Take Care! |

| A Holiday Greeting! To Everyone!
Hello Everyone, A few hours ago, I sat in my bed and had a wonderful dinner as I watched the ball dropped in Times Square, NY, marking another new year. I ate two, large, spicy seasoned pork chops sprinkled with hot sauce, two slices of dark wheat bread and mixed vegetables. I drank a large bottle of Martinelli's Apple/Grape Cider with my meal and had a large Oh Henry! chocolate bar for dessert. I want to wish all of you, especially my blogger friends a very happy New Year! May your new year begin safely and continues to be great throughout the entire year. For the year of 2008 will be a easy going for some people and it will be very difficult for others. Life in general is hard that way but we must keep on trying to put our best foot forward. May all of you enjoy every moment of this year with your love ones because no one knows, which day will be your last. (Depressing but true) Pray to the God above and ask him to guide you into the right direction and to help you make good decisions everyday. Amen Is tomorrow a recycle of today? Some people seems to think so. In my opinion, there will always be the time from 12:00 am to 12:00 pm to 12:00 am again. The only difference is that you will never see another day like the one before because every single day is different. Just take some deep breaths and one day at a time, I know I will. Be safe, guys! Happy New Year, |

Happy Holidays!| Happy Kwanzaa!
I want to wish Happy Kwanzaa to every family celebrating this other wonderful holiday. Kwanzaa is an African-American and Pan-African holiday founded by Dr. Maulana Karenga in 1966. It begins on December 26th and lasts through to January 1st. The name Kwanzaa comes from the Swahili phrase "matunda ya kwanza", which means first fruits of the harvest. To prepare for this wonderful holiday, African American families decorate their homes with Kwanzaa symbols. They place a mkeka, a straw mat on the table. Corn (one ear for each child in the family) and other foods are placed on the mkeka to remember the earth's abundance. Candles are placed in a kinara, a wooden candle holder. A black candle is placed in the center as a reminder of the richness of African-Amercan skin. Three red candles represent struggles and three green candles represent a prosperous future. A candle is lit for each day of Kwanzaa. The black candle is lit first, then red and green candles are lit alternately. Kwanzaa has become so huge in America that the U.S. Postal Service are selling several First-Class Kwanzaa Stamps today. There are seven priciples of Kwanzaa, one for each day and they are: 1 - UMOJA, which means Unity. 2 - KUJICHAGULIA, which means Self-Determination. 3 - UJIMA, which means Collective Work and Responsibility. 4 - UJAMAA, which means Cooperative Economics. 5 - NIA, which means Purpose. 6 - KUUMBA, which means Creativity. 7 - IMANI, which means Faith. I hope this small info. makes you understand Kwanzaa a little better. No matter who you are or where you came from. Different holidays from all over the world should be celebrated to the fullest degree with thankful happiness. Jonella |

| Its Christmas!
Well, it is a quiet Christmas night and I just want to say hello to you. I had a wonderful, wonderful Christmas day, did you? Very early this Christmas morning, I spoke to my biological mother (who lives in NY but she is spending the holidays at home in Barbados) and my other mother (my aunt in Barbados who raised me) on the telephone to wish them Happy Holidays. I didn't get to speak with my other aunt in Barbados because she was not at home, she had to work today. My family sounded very cheerful this morning. My aunt and baby sister were here with me in the apartment this afternoon. Happy Holidays! |

and very excited

Merry Christmas Everybody!
|
Hello, I want to wish all of my blog friends Yes, Christmas is almost here again and another year will soon be over. This is my absolutely favorite time of every year. I have finished cleaning my mother's entire apartment today and I've already made Sorrel drink
On the first Christmas, many, many years gao. Three wismen spotted a great, bright Bethlehem star
By now, Santas Clause has already gone down a few chimneys and still has a lot more to do. People, who live in apartments or houses without chimneys, do not worry. When Santa arrives at your place, he will make a magical chimney to enter your home. Bringing Christmas gifts for children and adults alike. Am I not correct?
Besides knowing that man will live forevermore because of Christmas Day! I wonder if many people realize that tomorrow, Christians all around the world are celebrating another birthday of the Lord Jesus Christ. Christams Day is the most popular birthday ever known to man. Speaking of man, it is a pity that some people are only nice at Christmas time and when the New Year is over. They will forget what Christmas truly means and becomes their nasty, racist, hasty, sad old selves all over again. Have fun, everyone!
