BEST  JOURNALIST  EVER  HAS  FALLEN!

1916-2009

         Walter Leland Cronkite, Jr., a television pioneer and CBS legend, died Friday July 17, 2009 in New York at the age of 92 after suffering from a long illness.
      Born in St. Joseph, Missouri, in November 1916, Sir Cronkite was raised in Houston, Texas.
      Cronkite joined CBS News in 1950, worked on a variety of programs, including many political elections from 1952 to 1981. He was also one of the original creators of the CBS Evening News which begun in 1962. He anchored that broadcast until his retirement in 1981.
      Walter Leland Cronkite never lied to his viewers for the sake of high ratings like today's reporters...And he'll always be famous for bringing some of the most popular news in history, such as:
      Announicng the Apollo 11 Moon Landing July 1969.
      Announcing the death of JFK November 1963.
      Walter Leland Cronkite was not only a legendary journalist, but a Humanitarian and Economist. Level-headed and honest, Sir Walter famously earned the nickname "the most trusted man in America." He was also very popular for his nightly sign-off--> "and that's the way it is," which soon became his trademark.
      Cronkite is with God now, and is probably up there having brilliant conversations with great minds like Leonardo De Vinchi, Abraham Lincoln, Martin Lurther King, and many others...
      My condolence goes out to his family, and close friends.  May Walter rest in peace. Walter Leland Cronkite was a one of a kind journalist.  His rare human nature and brilliance will be greatly missed by many, can never be replaced...

ANOTHER  GREAT  ACTRESS  HAS  FALLEN!

1963-2009

         Natasha Richardson, 45, wife of the wonderful actor, Liam Neeson, died Wednesday March 18, 2009 in New York after suffering an apparent head injury from a skiing accident in Canada on Monday.
      Natasha Richardson is the daughter of British actress Vanessa Redgrave, and director Tony Richardson, and older sister of Joely Richardson.
      My favorite Natasha Richardson movie is the remake of Parent Trap 1998, also starring Lindsay Lohan and Dennis Quaid.
      Nastasha's untimely death was an unfortunate one, but God has one of his angels back in heaven with him now.  My condolence goes out to her family.  May Natasha rest in peace.  She was a brilliant actress and will be greatly missed.

HAPPY  HOLIDAYS  TO  YOU  ALL!

         Just a tiny note to let you know that NYC is finally receiving its first snowfall today, and it is coming down very heavy.
       I have to go to BJ's warehouse later on with my mother, and I know it will be very messy out th ere.  Boy, I really hate the winter!  LOL.
       If you live in NYC, and in the surrounding states, where the snow has fallen,  please be very careful when traveling outside on the slippery, wet streets. Take Care!
